Leigh O'Donovan, originally from Pittsburgh, received her bachelor's degree in criminology and journalism from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

In her professional life, O'Donovan has worked with military author and sports humorist J. David Truby. She has served as a communications consultant for a variety of companies, including sports and law enforcement agencies. Besides her work for AOR, O'Donovan is currently a marketing manager for a growing dog daycare franchise.

O'Donovan began reading early, which has fostered her love of books. Her favorite genres are true crime, horror, historical fiction and religion.

In her spare time, O'Donovan likes to relax by traveling, listening to music, shopping and cheering on her hometown sports teams.

She resides in Northern Virginia with her fiancé and their toy fox terrier, Thor.
