Jay Mundie, a highly decorated, veteran police officer justifiably kills someone in the line of duty. Ignoring the advice of the police psychologist and friends, Jay continues working full-time, unaware of the full effect this incident has on him. This is only the start of a long downward spiral of abuse, neglect and unspeakable evil that brings terror to the small town of Cutler, Virginia.

Twisted Obsession, is about a police officer who while on a domestic call has to shoot a man. The affects of this shooting send Officer Jay Mundie on a roller coaster ride of emotions. He has been cleared by the state police and found that the shoot was justifiable. But the shooting of Moe Jackson, awakens an evil in Jay that the town of Cutler, VA is not ready for. The lead investigator in the recent rash of murders in and around Cutler is beginning to suspect that it could possibly be a police officer that is doing the killings. Are his hunches correct? Can he find out who it is before more murders occur? You will have to read the book to find out.
 
Twisted Obsession is Mark Kearney's debut novel. He is an up and coming crime thriller author who, if he continues to write this way, may find himself being compared to Patricia Cornwell. - 4 STARS

About the Author:

Crime Thriller Author, Mark Kearney, is a Staunton, Virginia based writer. Kearney's debut novel, Twisted Obsession is a police thriller. In the opening chapter, the main character, Officer Jay Mundie, justifiably kills a suspect in the line of duty. This action causes him to go through emotional turmoil, which he does not weather well. He comes out of his funk abusing alcohol and his family and starts to develop a lust to kill again. He does.

Kearney is the co-founder of Book Em. The Book 'Em Foundation. The mission of The Book 'Em Foundation is to raise awareness of the link between high illiteracy rates and high crime rates, and to work with other non-profits such as the Reading Council and Friends of the Library to increase literacy rates, and with Crime Stoppers to assist police in solving crimes.

Currently Kearney, the father of two, will be touring his upcoming novel and working on the sequel for a 2008 release.
